june 25: i fought the law, and I WON!!!

hola amigos!

today's writing is about me and pat's car. (selfish bastard that i am)

so today i was in court contesting a ticket that i got from johnny law for a "speeding" ticket that i got in january...

that morning in jan. that i was going to work had a solid inch of standing rain on the pavement, so EVERYONE was going slow, myself included. (by the way, when it rains out here in cali, people drive like 98 year olds. -- no offense to 98 year olds...)

i slowly went over to the passing lane and passed 2 cars and got right back into the traffic. no harm, no fowl.
BUT "jonny assha law" decided to come out of nowhere and present me with a speeding ticket. (even though i WAS NOT speeding...

on the ticket it said "75+" miles pre hour... (i knew then that this was a judgement call and a badly made one at that... as we were all traveling very safe speeds.

so in court today, after seeing about 12 people get dismissed cases because the cops weren't there to attend, of course i had a cop that attended. great... my luck... but i was ready to stand up and fight the bastard!

as we sat down for our trial, he entered his call first. he tells the judge that his car was brand new and didn't have the radar "calibrated" yet...

after the judge heard this, he immediately told me that this case was closed and i could leave, handing me back my $370 bucks!!!!! hahahahahaha!!! i didn't have to open my mouth once. the whole was shut and closed before he could even question me. hahahahahahahaha! asshat cop!

so people, please contest ALL your tickets inn the future, even if you blatantly mess up, you can always request the forum for a "plea bargin" in which most cases will save you cash and points.

that was the hilite of the year!

june 21: summer solstice redux

alright! sue and i just got home from santa cruz. what a day of weather we had! 80+ in SF and along the coast! amazing and pretty dang rare!

june 21 - solstice!! and sunny weather!

sweet! today's going to be a nice day out! we've been getting crazy nice weather here (finally) and sue actually has a day off!!!
so we are taking "jean" down the coast for some photos and relax time.

i'll post photos when i get home this evening, and then will be on a call with pat who's been out of the states for quite a while.
always fun hearing the tales of adventure upon his returns.

We will be posting an update on the tranny specs very soon! they are actually pretty cool in consideration to retrofitting a '68 model vehicle. lots of variables to consider when doing this job.

as well, i'll try to post the trip itinerary in case anyone wants to meet up somewhere and ride along, they can.

** requirements: you must be 4'9", double D breasts and can sit in a 3"x3" box with your legs open!

since we are taking the trip in october, it tells us that we need to travel low in the states. we'll be taking "Jean" away from california on a weening process. we're NOT going to drive the fast route, but rather the road down the coast, hwy 101. as it drifts along the coast, well take pics and tell stories of $13 hamburgers, and asshat LA drivers...

we'll cut in somewhere around LA. (god forbid)
and shoot east from there. (more later on details)

june 10:

Pat bought the motor and tranny or shall we say Jean's "Heart and Soul" yesterday! The engine is being built and we'll be able to pass along updated photos as the builders assemble the 'soul'.

The block will be powder coated black, and the engine dressing will be polished aluminum.

She'll have aluminum heads, roller kit, balanced and blueprinted and ready to run. (or at least ready for her diligent break-in process)

We'll post the actual spec sheet when Pat returns from Bulgaria and surrounding states in a couple of weeks.

Road Trip '08: The Bitchin' Camaro

First entry into the blog. (please note: i've never subscribed to a blog before because i think they're "kinda" vain. i mean who's got enough time on their hands to be bothered with other people's lives? ;) so with that said;

It's June 9th, and Pat is buying his 460 horse power 383 crate motor today! as well as a nicely equipped TKO 5 speed manual transmission!

We elected (The) Scott Jones to do the build on the car only after not being able to have our good friend/family member Scott Stevenson do the build. Scott has graciously agreed to take on the Camaro project before he starts his next car build for Reggie Jackson! (reggie bought a 1970 Chevelle convertable - 1 of 26 made) 

We will update with photos on July 12th when the car (Jean) gets delivered to Scott to start the build!

Mr. Patrick Schneider (the lucky-bitch-owner) and myself will be driving this gas slogging beast across "Amerika" in October of this year ('08). Pat Appointed me to find him his "California Girl" for his 40th birthday (june 29th), so after months of looking, I found the perfect gal, and she's a Cali local! 

She's grey with rootbeer hilites and in VERY good condition. All new under carriage, suspension (which will be updated) and a very clean find for the budget at hand.

"Jean" is also getting some air-conditioning, After-market seats (due to sore-ass syndrome driving anything across Amerika), a 6 gauge cluster in replacement of the original gauges to help monitor all the juicy functions; as well, a juicy discretely 

mounted audio system that will have the front-end of the head unit (stereo face) that looks like its 40 years old! (with modern insides)  --- so while we're driving down the long highways of nevada we can also blast the song "godzilla" and the like.
